Broken Wings

Ceramic sculpture representing a rise from darkness and destruction, partially reconstructed from a collapsed in progress piece. The feathers, crow head and other details were carved into dry greenware and then fired. The finishes were added after firing. Black metallic rub was added to the crow details, and a wash made from crushed black pastel and water was applied to the cloth drapery.
